Police Chase 2 Suspects Through Traffic on I-40
Two burglary suspects were involved in a major chase on I-40 yesterday. The suspects, 32 year old Adedus L. McNair and 36 year old Gregory Keith Creary, have been charged with the burglary of a home on Jenks Road near Apex. It was not reported how they were confronted during or after the home invasion, but they were chased by police down I-40 during rush hour traffic.
The two men then jumped from the vehicle onto Interstate 40. The chase that ensued involved law enforcement from various agencies, K-9 teams and even a helicopter. The search culminated around Avent Ferry Road and Tryon Road where they were captured.
They have been formally charged wi th breaking and entering, larceny, grand theft auto, theft of a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of burglary tools.
