3 Arrested in Connection with First Knightdale Murder
In its 82 year history, the city of Knightdale has only seen one murder case. It occurred last January at a Domino's Pizza. 24 year old Kenny Ring, an assistant manager at Domino's, was discovered badly beaten on the floor of the Domino's around midnight by one of the delivery drivers, 20 year old Nicho D'Angelo Bowers.
Bowers and his brother, 21 year old Travis Melton Sherman, were together on the night of the incident. They alleged that Ring had been robbed and attacked. Bowers, Sherman, and a friend of theirs, Chris Thomas, have all been arrested for murder. They are being held without bail at Wake County Jail. Sherman and Bowers are also facing robbery charges, and Sherman additionally faces obstruction of justice charges for lying to police about the incident.
Both Bowers and Sherman have prior criminal records and were placed on probation with a suspended sentence.
