Wife Turns Gun on Her Own Husband
A road trip went terribly wrong when a wife pointed a gun at her own husband.
According to officers in Wake County, NC, the 37-year-old suspect was a passenger in the vehicle when she pointed the gun at her spouse. He struggled to get the gun out of her control and, in the process, two rounds were fired. Luckily, neither round struck the pair or their two children who were riding in the backseat.
After calling the police to report the incident, the suspect was taken into custody and transported to a Wake County jail. She was later released on $10,000 bond and was informed by a judge to avoid all contact with her husband. It is uncertain as to whether that also extends to her two children at this point. She now faces two counts of misdemeanor child abuse, as well as discharging a firearm and assault by pointing a gun.
Being charged with a crime such as assault is a matter that must always be taken seriously.
