Area Man Arrested for Assaulting a Juvenile
Even though the offense happened nearly a decade ago, Raleigh police officers were finally able to arrest one man for assaulting a juvenile.
According to the police officers, an accusation was lodged against the 61-year-old man on July 12th by the minor involved in the case. The juvenile spoke about sexual assault that occurred between July 17, 2001 and June 16, 2003. After investigating the validity of these accusations, the police department was able to arrest the man. He now faces three counts of indecent liberties with a child and one count of first-degree sex offense with a minor.
The suspect remains in jail on $500,000 bond.
